Xilisoft DivX Converter is a video conversion tool for Windows. Although it was designed for DivX, it can be used to convert from and into a variety of other video formats. Apart from video conversion, with this application you can extract audio and split videos.
In terms of design, this converter has a rather simple interface that is intuitive and easy to work with. All the tools you need to complete a conversion task can be found right in the main screen. There is a toolbar with buttons comprising the main functions and a panel to the right with the video settings. It also includes a built-in video player so you can preview your video before starting the conversion.
To carry out a conversion the application uses profiles: you just need to pick one profile from the list and start the process. For more specific results, you can customize these profiles by adjusting parameters like the video codec, quality, video size, frame rate, and dozens of other settings. Besides, it is able to convert the same video into several different formats at the same time; this is done simply by adding a new output profile. Although it doesn't include options to edit video, it does let you split your video into smaller segments.
This version has been improved with support for GPU acceleration, so if you have the required hardware, you can enable this feature to speed up the conversion process. more
